Low cost pyrolysis of old standard oil sludge equipment adapted to wet and hot conditions

The oil and gas related industries in Laos are gradually developing, with small-scale oil field extraction, gas station operation, small-scale refining workshops, and oil tanker operations along the Mekong River generating about 9000 tons of oily sludge annually, with an oil content of 25% -52%, mixed with impurities such as crude oil residue, sand particles, and oil pollution, which are highly compatible with the common sources of oily sludge. The Mekong River, with a main stream length of 777.4 kilometers within Laos, is the core ecological and agricultural lifeline of Laos, supporting rice cultivation and residential water use along the coast. The arbitrary discharge of oily sludge will seriously pollute water and soil, violating the relevant provisions of the Environmental Protection Law and the Regulations on Industrial Waste Discharge. According to Laos' environmental protection requirements, oily sludge needs to be treated harmlessly, and the oil recovery rate must be ≥ 86%. At present, the local processing technology is rudimentary and there is a risk of secondary pollution. There is an urgent need for efficient processing equipment that is low-cost, adaptable to humid and hot environments, and easy to operate.

China Yongle Environmental Protection Engineering has developed the "Old Standard Low Cost Pyrolysis" oily sludge treatment equipment: using anti-corrosion carbon steel cabin and semi closed negative pressure pyrolysis structure, it can withstand high temperature, high humidity and saline alkali working conditions, adapt to the humid and hot climate of Laos and complex scenarios such as coastal areas and oil fields, effectively prevent equipment corrosion, and extend service life. The core is equipped with the "simple screening+medium temperature anaerobic pyrolysis" process, which first removes 98.8% of sand particles and metal debris through manual assisted screening to reduce the difficulty of pyrolysis. Then, the oil is separated by medium temperature pyrolysis at 480 ℃, with an oil recovery rate of 87.5%. The recovered oil can be used as fuel for small boilers, suitable for local small-scale industries and people's livelihood needs; The combustible gas produced by pyrolysis consumes 36% of its energy, reducing operating costs. The exhaust gas is treated with simple purification to meet emission standards, and the residual oil content after treatment is ≤ 0.3%. It can be used for soil improvement or safe landfill without relying on complex consumables and is suitable for local operation and maintenance levels.

Adaptation to the entire industry chain scenario: In the small oil field operation area of Laos, mobile devices are deployed along with drilling platforms, with a daily processing capacity of 2.5 tons. Diesel powered equipment does not rely on the power grid, avoiding the risk of sludge transportation leakage and preventing pollution of surrounding soil; At gas stations in Vientiane and Luang Prabang, the daily processing capacity of mini equipment is 4 tons, and on-site sludge treatment is completed to reduce storage and transportation costs and prevent oil pollution of groundwater; At ports along the Mekong River, modular equipment has a daily processing capacity of 7 tons, and on-site treatment of oil tanker cleaning sludge is carried out to prevent pollution of the Mekong River ecology and safeguard the safety of the core water system; In small oil refining workshops, the standard equipment has a daily processing capacity of 9 tons, which is linked with the workshop production process to achieve the "sludge oil fuel" cycle and improve resource utilization.

Exclusive service guarantee: The equipment has passed the basic compliance audit of the Lao Ministry of Environmental Protection and relevant industrial departments, and is compatible with local industry standards. Establish service bases in Vientiane and ports along the Mekong River, reserve oil resistant, corrosion-resistant, and vulnerable spare parts, achieve 24-hour maintenance response in core areas, and provide on-site maintenance services for remote oil fields; Provide Lao language operation training and process guidance, simplify maintenance processes, and adapt to local operation and maintenance levels; The equipment procurement cost is only 40% of similar products in Europe and America, and the oil recovery income can cover the investment within 10 months, helping Laos to protect water systems and soil ecology, promote the green development of small-scale oil and gas related industries, and align with the sustainable development strategy.
